Portfolio Formal Elements

Definitions:An artist's portfolio is an edited collection of their best artwork intended to showcase an artist's style or method of work. A portfolio is used by artists to show employers their versatility by showing different samples of current work.
  • aesthetic- concerned with beauty or the appreciation of beauty.
  • Image resolution is the detail an image holds. The term applies to raster digital images, film images, and other types of images. 
  • Higher resolution means more image detail. Image resolution can be measured in various ways.
What makes a good portfolio:
  • A consistant style 
  • Images that present your best work 
  • Linked to a theme
  • Presentation
  • Edited the same way
    • carefully select the images
    My portfolio will be of flowers, focusing on the formal element of colour.
