Final Evaluation:
The topics in component 1 that have influenced me the moat are colour and landscapes. Through my research and experiments with Colour, i learnt how to edit my photos subtlety and how a highly saturated photo can be nauseating. I also learnt about the theory of colour and how certain colours can portray emotions. For example, Red, emotionally, can mean love, passion or anger. I also learnt the different meanings of colour terminology. an example is that Analogous colours are next to each other on the colour wheel "get along" and are referred to as being harmonious. Analogous colours are often used in visual design and have a soothing affect. Where as, Complimentary colours exhibit more contrast when positioned adjacent to each other -for example yellow appears more intense when positioned on or beside blue or violet. The research of colour also led me to do the research of one of the most influential artist that has inspired me and my work. When doing colour i researched Nick Knight. Nick Knight gave me inspiration for later work on my formal elements portfolio. Instead of melting flowers like Knight, I took the inspiration of destroying flowers into my independent shoot 2, where i ripped apart flowers. Below is evidence of this work.

For example, the photos taken below were taken in the studio with a mono block, soft box, Remote trigger and light meter. The photos were taken with a shutter speed of 1/125, an aperture of f8 and an ISO 200.
I would say the way i take photographs has improved quite a bit from the start of component 1. For example, when looking at the first topic of line, my photos were very simple and not as planned out- I just took the picture as how i saw it. However, now i take the time to think over the way i want to present my image and look into different angles and composition. An example of this is the photo below from my Formal Elements Portfolio.
On way in which i have demonstrated my ability to experiment is through the research of Composite image making. This style of photograph is not my usual approach and i did not have any knowledge of how to do it. However i produced three end photos which are shown below.

Another artist that influenced me was James Ravilious. James Ravilious photographs countrysides and influenced my final photos in Landscapes and my Photo Genre portfolio. Certain photos in my landscapes were taken not only from the overall influence but were influenced by certain Ravilious photos. Ravilious' images of countrysides inspired many of my best images. For example, the Tree in my research came into my mind when i walk around the fields and saw the windy tree in my edited photos. I tried making these black and white and the tones were enhanced and the photo looked more like Ravilious' work. However i wanted my photos to look more dominated in tones and to create a strong atmosphere when you see them. Yet the back and white photos presented connotations of calmness.
Throughout component 1 I learnt many technical skills. For example i learnt which setting was best for each photo and how different apertures can change a photo. i have also learnt how to take photos in the studio with certain set ups. I did this throughout different topics but mostly in Form.
